As an example - to "understand" something of the work our friends have to do - go to every website you like, place your pointer on the page, click right and choose "view source code".

Any volunteers?

That's why you can still go on downloading when a torrent is banned. The seeder must go on seeding otherwise the leechers are stuck inside of mobile. This doesn't go on all the tracker.

The database contains all the parts and pieces that together build the site. It are all different section that point at each other. If one of the links that hold them together is broken, they can't communicate and show the complete site. Perhaps one line of code is corrupt, perhaps one or more section.

Is it possible to share files with BT without a web based front end?

EDIT:

"Clients that have already begun downloading a file communicate with the tracker periodically to negotiate faster file transfer with new peers, and provide network performance statistics; however, after the initial peer-to-peer file download is started, peer-to-peer communication can continue without the connection to a tracker. Since the creation of the distributed hash table (DHT) method for "Trackerless" torrents, BitTorrent trackers have largely become redundant, however, they are still often included with torrents to improve the speed of peer discovery."

What's in the database? Is there a copy of the torrent file, I assume details of completed downloads, maybe stats related to sharing and that info hash string thingy.
